There's a sweet spot somewhere for choosing 'h'. If 'h' is too large the discretization error will dominate the error. If 'h' is too small the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_of_significance" rel="nofollow">loss of significance</a> will dominate the error.
